There are several options and systems to choose from, with the two most common being Gunite and Polymer/Steel wall.
Weighing Your Pool System Options
There are a few factors to consider when deciding what kind of pool system to go with:
1) Maintenance:
The level of maintenance required for your pool depends on the material used. Gunite, which is similar to concrete, requires more maintenance while Polymer/Steel requires less maintennce overall.
2) Durability:
Both Gunite and Polymer/Steel options boast similar durability, although Gunite is more prone to cracking over the years in colder regions.
3) Appearance:
If you are looking for a more natural looking material, Gunite is the way to go. If appearance isn’t a main factor for you, there are several Polymer/Steel options that can still meet your ideal aesthetics.
4) Cost:
When it comes to cost, Gunite tends to cost more than Polymer/Steel options. The primary reason is due to the more natural looking options that Gunite offers.
